Syrah or Shiraz is a Mediterranean variety famous worldwide for rich red wines.
Our Memento is an ode to fine things in life, moments worth living and remembering.
Wine has a deep ruby color with purple rims, medium-plus body at 13% alc, elegant structure with plush tannins. Mostly dark fruit with herbs, leather, vanilla and spice on a medium-plus intensity nose, medium acidity. Bottled unfiltered and as a result can produce sediment in the bottle. We suggest decanting for 30-60 minutes.
We have started vintage 2017 with handpicked grapes in first part of September, two days of cold soak with small addition of whole cluster grapes, and with additional 18 days of fermentation and maceration. Gently pressed into small barrels of French, American and Slavonian oak where it remained for whole 12 months.
We recommend our Syrah Memento with roasted or grilled lamb or try it with Pašticada, famous Dalmatian dish of slowly cooked beef in slightly sweet and sour sauce with home made gnocchi.
