Syrah or Shiraz is a Mediterranean variety famous worldwide for rich red wines.
Our Memento is an ode to the fine things in life, moments worth living, and remembering.
Wine has a ruby color with purple rims, a medium body at 13,5% alc, elegant structure with soft tannins. Notes of blueberry, cherry with earth, leather, on a medium-plus intensity nose, medium acidity. We suggest decanting for 30 minutes.
We have started vintage 2019 with handpicked grapes in the first part of September, four days of cold soak with the addition of whole cluster grapes, we let the fermentation start with native yeast and gently press after about 3 weeks of fermentation and maceration. Élevage in small barrels of French, American, and Slavonian oak where it remained for 12 months.
We recommend our Syrah Memento with roasted or grilled lamb or try it with Pašticada, famous Dalmatian dish of slowly cooked beef in slightly sweet and sour sauce with home made gnocchi.
