We had the honor of hosting a special four-course “Marenda”, a traditional dish of hard-working Šibenik farmers, in collaboration with the team from Pelegrini, one of Croatia’s most renowned fine-dining restaurants. This exclusive event was part of JRE-Croatia’s project Chefs @ Sea, bringing together a distinguished group of Dutch chefs for a unique culinary experience.

A Perfect Pairing: Food & Wine

Carefully crafted menu by Pelegrini was designed to highlight the harmony between Dalmatian cuisine and Baraka wines, enhancing each dish with thoughtfully selected pairings. The guests, visiting chefs from the Netherlands, had the opportunity to explore the depth and character of our wines in a setting that celebrated both tradition and innovation.

The Menu

  • Carpaccio – A delicate and flavorful start to the meal.
  • Anchovies – A classic Dalmatian seafood delicacy.
  • Mussels Orzotto – A rich and creamy barley-based dish featuring fresh mussels from Šibenik channel.
  • Veal with Green Peas – A refined take on the traditional Janjetina s Bižima, a staple dish of hard-working Šibenik farmers.

From Dalmatia with love

The event was a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with some of the best culinary talents from the Netherlands. Together with Pelegrini’s team, we showcased the essence of Dalmatian gastronomy, sharing our passion for fine food and wine.
